The 2016 !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Looks very promising on paper, and I have a feeling that it'll definitely give the M4 some stiff competition. However, I found the design to be almost-there-but-not-quite complete.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Cadillac's V design language has evolved quite nicely in its latest iteration on the ATS. It is more refined than the CTS-V, which looks like some high school AutoCAD project, in comparison.
The front and rear end of the ATS-V conveys the message of a restrained rage, ready to attack the twisties at the command of the driver. However the side profile, especially the rear quarter, still reeks of the old-man smell that come from his blazer.
I'd suggest killing the dullness of the rear-quarter by having flare fenders that mimic the profile of the headlights, and rear wheels with serious concave action going.
Lastly, the rear ducktail wing can be done in carbon fibre to tie in with the front aero bits.
What do you think?
Here's the original for comparison:

This wheel looks kind of awkward. I think they could be a little bigger.

why do almost all cars have the flat spot right at the edge of the wheel well?

I think I like the stock ride height better, I don't mind the wing change though.
I would however prefer that chrome trim mustache it has was body color. otherwise I love this thing

I actually didn't change the wheel size, tho the whole rear wheel arch + wheel can be a touch bigger.

I'm a big fan of the original design but that rear fender flare would make a really effective yet subtle change. I love it.

It's not the wheels that are too small, it's the segment above the wheels that's too big.

2 minutes in Paint (ignore the line on the door):

You're to giving it some hips, when Cadillacs are not known for hips; they're more known for slab-sides. The decision would really come down to whether they wanted to differentiate the car from the plain Cadillac image.

I have notice that problem with a lot of cars in that last decade. Many of them looks a lot better with a mid-section trim like what you've done.
Too bad actual car design and packaging can't be accomplished with a simple photo-editing program...

It's not a trim line I made. Well, I did unintentionally, but that wasn't my goal. I cut a part of the horizontal mid section off, making the car far sleeker and less tall, without lowering ride hight. The line you see is from the free form selection tool in Paint, where I cut the picture in half and slit the bottom half upwards

Yes, I understand what you did. And I agree it made the car look a lot sleeker. I have done a few of these "mid-section elimination" myself in Photoshop. Mostly to wagony car like the ZDX, Matrix, and Juke.
and 100 more

Yes, that character line helps LOADS. That area between the door edge and the wheel was so bland. As it stands, I reminds me of a Cobalt Coupe. A simple crease like you added helps break up that huge flat blank area.
Good on you!

I'm about to be in the minority here, but I like that it's understated / has small wheels. I'd honestly like to make the hood a little less shouty, and replace the quad exhaust with a nice pair of tips, more like the 2.0T / 3.6.

That's excellent - I feel as if it's too slab-sided without your addition. GM - take note!!!
